Arts and Heritage would like to thank TD Canada Trust for their kindness and generous support of our school programs.

Little White School

Heritage Sites offers curriculum based educational programs in a 1948 classroom in the Little White School.  Our classroom is a blast from the past.  Set in 1948, chalkboards, ink pins and the strap allow students to experience first hand a school lesson the old fashioned way.  Our programs reflect the new social studies curriculum while remaining true to the three R's- reading, writing and arithmetic.

St. Albert Grain Elevator Park

All school programs offered at the St. Albert Grain Elevator Park are curriculum based and encourage historical thinking, meaningful play and creative connections. All that is needed to step back in time is an inquisitive nature and a willingness to play.

Father Lacombe Chapel

In 1861, Father Albert Lacombe established an oblate mission along the Sturgeon River. The mission was called St. Albert.  A Metis settlement rapidly grew around the newly built chapel.  Today this log chapel is one of Alberta's oldest buildings.

Aboriginal Programs

The Musee Heritage Museum currently has an Aboriginal Programmer on staff who contributes to the development and delivery of the Aboriginal Programs.  All of these programs are taught in a traditional way and include elements of oral history, the importance of the circle and an awareness of the world around us.  Emphasis in these programs is on respect, cooperation and patience.
