The 21st Annual Art Auction takes place on February 6th, 2010 at Hole’s Greenhouse and Gardens. This unforgettable event that will bring over 300 art enthusiasts and supporters together for an exciting Alice in Wonderland themed evening of fine art, great food, entertainment and silent auction.
This year’s Art Auction is sure to fulfill even Alice’s curiosity with something for everyone! The new Art-Plus format gives attendees the opportunity to bid on everything from a signed Edmonton Eskimos jersey, gift certificates to your favorite restaurant, a catered gourmet dinner and original artworks by: Frances Alty-Arscott, Mindy Andrews, Tony Baker, Nicole Bauberger, Brenda Kim Christiansen, Elaine Classen, Jim Davies, Robert Dmytruk, John Freeman, Douglas Fraser, Tom Gale, Angela Grootelaar, Bogdan Koral-Konikowski and Izabella Orzelski-Konikowski, Lewis Lavoie, MONK, Alan Nuttal, Fran Boyce Olynyk, Dixie Orriss, Sophia Podryhula- Shaw, Tim Rechner, Judy Shafers, Chris Stoemich, Bruce Thompson, George Tosczak, Pat Trudeau, Pat Wagensveld and many more outstanding artists!
Entertainment at this year’s Art Auction includes live performers and a jazz trio. This year’s Art Auction boasts the opportunity to see artists Lewis Lavoie and David Kerslake create live art where you can see masterpieces created before your eyes! This year’s Art Auction will also feature The Queen of Art Bar, where you can have your picture taken in a fantasy world surrounded by the famously peculiar characters of Wonderland! Then make your portrait a framed collage with the help of artist and Profiles Public Art Gallery instructor, Julie Kalderhoven.
Funds raised support Profiles Public Art Gallery’s exciting events and programs, including children’s programs that have a positive influence on over 25,000 children and youth each year! Join us as we nurture the region’s artistic roots, support the branches of our cultural institutions and ensure a growing and sustainable arts community for generations to come. As St. Albert has come to expect, this will be the must-attend event of the year!
